Associate Director - Musaliha International Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MICADR)

Karachi Contractual Musaliha International Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MICADR) Published: April 12, 2026 Closing: April 30, 2026

Position summary

MICADR is at an inflection point. We have built something rare: a Federal Government and Sindh Hight Court notified mediation centre with Supreme Court patronage, IMI accreditation, a trained practitioner network, and an established roster of corporate members and judicial partners.

The Associate Director will be a person who builds a financial infrastructure working towards self-sustainability of MICADR. This is a leadership role with full authority to build the team, set the commercial direction, and drive MICADR to financial independence within a defined three-year horizon. You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and lead an organisation whose institutional assets are genuinely difficult to replicate.

Key responsibilities

  • Own MICADR's Financial Performance: Set annual revenue targets across MICADR's three pillars - training, cases, and corporate membership - monitor monthly performance, and hold pillar leads accountable to outcomes. The incumbent will also be expected to create out of the box options to enhance and consolidate the financial health of MICADR
  • Lead Senior Business Development: Build and maintain relationships with corporates, law firms, chambers of commerce, judicial institutions, and government bodies etc. MICADR's growth depends on converting institutional credibility into a pipeline, and the BD leads that effort at the senior level.
  • Build and Manage the Team: Recruit, onboard, and manage the Training Manager, Cases Manager, BD & Membership Manager, and Operations Officer. Set a performance culture from day one.
  • Represent MICADR Externally: Conferences, regulatory engagements, media appearances, judicial forums, and stakeholder events. MICADR needs a credible public face who can hold a room.
  • Report to the Board: Quarterly P&L presentations with clear analysis of revenue performance, pipeline status, and forward outlook. The Board sets strategy; the AD executes it.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Performance/Area Standard/Target
Revenue growth              Consistent year-on-year growth across all three revenue pillars
Team performance Pillar KPIs met at a minimum 80% rate each quarter
Institutional Partnerships Minimum 6 senior BD engagements per quarter at C-suite or board level
Governance Quarterly Board reports delivered on time, every quarter
Financial Independence Progressive reduction of institutional subsidy, reaching zero by Year 3

Requirements

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in professional services, institutional management, ADR practice, or a related field.
  • A demonstrable track record of owning revenue targets and delivering results
  • Credibility in the Corporate and/or legal market, with an existing senior network you are prepared to activate.
  • The management instinct to build a high-performing team and hold it accountable without micromanagement.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management, or related fields will be preferred; professional qualifications such as IMI accreditation or equivalent ADR certification will be considered an added advantage.
