The Senior Graphic Designer will serve as the primary visual voice of the Legal Aid Society, producing high-quality design work across print, digital, and multimedia formats. The role requires a creative professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain high design standards under tight deadlines, and deliver visually compelling content that supports the organization’s communications and advocacy objectives.
a. Design and produce reports, policy briefs, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, factsheets, and other publications
b. Ensure brand consistency, typographic accuracy, and print-ready file preparation
c. Coordinate design outputs in accordance with publication and production requirements
a. Design standees, banners, backdrops, invitations, certificates, folders, and event-related materials
b. Develop branding and visual assets for conferences, launches, workshops, and stakeholder events
c. Ensure consistent visual identity across all event touchpoints
a. Create static and animated content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
b. Design campaign visuals, carousels, quote cards, infographics, and promotional assets
c. Collaborate with the communications team to support content calendars and digital campaigns
a. Translate legal, programmatic, and statistical information into clear visual formats
b. Design charts, infographics, and visual summaries for diverse audiences
c. Edit short-form videos, event recaps, interviews, and campaign content for digital platforms
d. Incorporate basic motion graphics, subtitles, and brand-aligned visual elements into video content
a. Edit, retouch, and prepare photographs for print and digital use
b. Support event photography, field documentation, and visual storytelling initiatives
c. Maintain and strengthen the organization’s visual identity and brand guidelines across all outputs
d. Ensure quality control and consistency across all communications materials
a. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Media Studies, or a related field
a. Minimum 5 years of professional graphic design experience
b. Experience within an NGO, media house, communications agency, or development sector organization will be preferred
c. Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent design projects with minimal supervision
a. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
b. Strong understanding of print production processes, including pre-press requirements and file preparation
c. Experience in video editing, photo editing, and visual storytelling
d. Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar design tools will be an advantage
e. Basic motion graphics and animation skills will be preferred
